THE CASTING NET
A Tradition of Support
Paving the Path
As SACS navigates the unprecedented challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are drawing on the strength of our entire community. Through the Annual Fund, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are making gifts to help our school, which has been adversely impacted. We are responding together and we hope you will consider joining the effort by making a gift of any size to support SACS to one of the campaigns below.
We call our levels of giving The Casting Net.
St. Andrew the Apostle, younger brother to Simon Peter, was a fisherman – we love to honor him in this way.
Gifts made each year through the Annual Fund provide 17 percent of the school’s operating budget, which gives our school community access to critical resources. Capital and endowment gifts provide long-term strength and ensure that our students receive the full benefit of a SACS experience.
This fund assists students and their families who have encountered immediate financial hardship. For example, there are students whose families are now unemployed and struggle with unstable housing, food insecurities, and health issues.
Library Gift Fund
Gifts donated towards the library fund provide an opportunity for friends and family to help enrich our library media center, while honoring their special student or alumni on the occasion of a birthday or other special event or achievement.
The Covid-19 Fund
Gifts donated towards the Covid-19 fund provide an opportunity for expanding our ever-growing and need for PPE and virtual teaching supplies in the classrooms to help protect our student body, staff, administration, and faculty against the spread of COVID-19.
Catholic Schools Week
National Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. Now entering its 47th anniversary year, CSW has traditionally been held the last week in January.
Race for Education
The Race for Education is a spring fund
raising activity that requires our students to do most of the work! Obtaining sponsors and earning donations by running or walking laps in our local park. The funds raised by this event help
to benefit our school’s educational program.
The Casting Net Levels of Giving
Gifts to the Annual Fund are combined with tuition dollars and applied across the school’s operating budget to fully fund the highest priority needs throughout the campus. Gifts to the Tuition Angel and Library Gift Funds directly impact the their earmarked categories. All gifts to The Casting Net are tax-deductible – tuition is not. Donations range from $5 to $5,000 – with $30 being the average.

William Callaghan Society contribute 90% of Annual Fund dollars every year. Their generosity ensures St. Andrew’s place as one of the top independent, private schools in the region.
